What should I expect at my first visit?
Your first appointment includes a detailed health history and a TCM assessment, which may include pulse and tongue observation, followed by treatment. Plan for about 60–90 minutes. TODO: adjust to your practice.
Does acupuncture hurt?
Acupuncture needles are very fine. Most people feel a brief sensation on insertion, followed by heaviness, warmth, or relaxation. Many patients fall asleep during treatment.
Is treatment covered by insurance?
Many extended health plans cover acupuncture by a Registered TCM Practitioner. Check your plan for coverage details. TODO: note whether you offer direct billing.
Is acupuncture covered by MSP?
MSP may provide partial coverage for acupuncture for people receiving MSP premium assistance, for a limited number of visits per year. Please ask us for details.
What should I wear or bring?
Wear loose, comfortable clothing, eat a light meal beforehand, and bring a list of any medications or supplements you take.
What is your cancellation policy?
